This workshop is a continuation of ADHD Parent Workshop 1 and is designed to help parents move from understanding ADHD into practical, everyday support strategies.
While Workshop 1 focuses on understanding the ADHD brain, Workshop 2 explores how ADHD impacts children socially, emotionally, behaviourally, and developmentally over time — and how parents can respond with greater confidence, calm, and connection.
This session provides parents and carers with a deeper understanding of emotional regulation, nervous system responses, motivation, self-esteem, and the developmental differences often experienced by children with ADHD.
Parents will gain practical, evidence-based strategies to help support their child at home while also reducing stress and overwhelm within the family environment.
Topics Include:
Understanding emotional regulation in ADHD
ADHD brain development and developmental differences
Strengths, motivation, confidence, and self-esteem
Supporting social skills, communication, and behaviour
Practical strategies for routines, sleep, movement, and regulation
Family connection, communication, and supportive home environments
This workshop blends neuroscience, real-life parenting examples, and practical tools to help families better understand behaviour, strengthen relationships, and create calmer, more connected homes.
